メタボリズム建築　-Metabolist Movement-

現在六本木の森美術館にて、メタボリズムの未来都市展が開催されています。

There is "metabolism -The City of Future-" is held at
MORI ART MUSEUM.

メタボリズム建築とは戦後の日本を代表する建築形態で、
生物学の『新陳代謝』が名前の由来となっています。
時間の流れに沿って、住宅や公共建築という身近なものから
博覧会や都市計画といった大規模なものまで
様々なスケールの模型や図面やビデオが展示されています。
かなり情報があって見ごたえのある展覧会です。

Metabolist movement is representative movement
of Japanese architecture in post WWII.
The name came from the idea of metabolism in biology.
In this exhibition, you can see models, photos, and videos
from small scaled architecture such as residence and public facilities
to big ones such as expo and city planning.
There is so much information and it's very much worth to see.



この展覧会を見た後に六本木ヒルズの展望台から東京の街を見ると
いつもと違って見えるかもしれません。

You might see different Tokyo view from the observation deck
of Tokyo Roppongi Hills after this exhibition.



ちなみにメタボリズム建築の代表作である『中銀カプセルタワービル』の１ユニットが
実物大の大きさで六本木ヒルズの外（六本木通り沿い）に展示してあります。
建築好きの方はもちろん、
デザインに興味のある方は是非足を運んでみてください。

By the way, 1 unit of Nakagin Capsule Tower in real scale is
displayed outside of the Roppongi Hills.
